“Human beings are never going to be perfect. The best we can do is keep asking for help and accepting it when you can. And if you keep on doing that, you’ll always be moving towards better.”

I was raised to be someone who SHOWS UP. I believe that genuine connection unites communities, so I strive to show up for those serving our country with honesty, reliability, loyalty and integrity.
SHOWING UP for me looks like consistently providing space and discussion that encourages acceptance, mutual respect and dignity. Throughout my life and career I’ve learned the value of becoming my authentic self. I SHOW UP as myself, I encourage others to as well, with intention that they will feel seen and valued in their truths.
It’s important to laugh, have fun, and seek adventure in new experiences. Humor, curiosity, and challenge build character…and those values help us commit to SHOWING UP for real life. Exercising grit, fortitude and intentional discomfort are what I will always ask my community to do.
